Technical Superintendent, region Zeeland

As a Technical Superintendent you are part of the technical service that keeps the fleet in top condition. You will be responsible for the organization of the technical maintenance of all technical related matters on board.

Taking into account Operational matters, our maritime activities, ecological footprint as well as (the fast) and continuous improvement that is required within our sector.

We offer this position with the possibility to grow into the role of Technical Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Coordination (annual) maintenance, periodical drydock works and repairs both on-site as through our NL office.
• Ensuring the process of good maintenance & repairs, inspections and damage compensation as well as vessel purchase.
• Check and control of vessel certificates validity.
• Planning, budgeting of (annual) maintenance as well coordination with the team of Technical Superintendents.
• Improve purchase appointments and request quotes, draft up suppliers list and maintain good contact with the clients suppliers.
• Liase with our insurance companies, certification agencies and external experts.
• Maintain daily contact with the vessel crew in regard to technical matters and their requested assistance. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical knowledge and skills, in the maritime industry, are key to this position.
• Minimum of 2+ years working experience with a similar or affiliated working field.
• (Offshore) Experience within the shipping industry is a plus.
• MBO/HBO education level with a relevant technical education.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally in the English language.
• Administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
