QHSE Manager / Officer voor Rederij regio Den Haag

Our client is  situated in the Haque and specialised in the offshore Industry, providing  Worldwide services with their guard, support and escort vessels

The main objective of the QHSE Manager is to Manage all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE), including advising, monotoring, maintaining and improving the QHSe manual and Safety Management System (SMS)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Maintaining certification and distribution of the SMS and QHSE manual, including a list of revisions
• Review and continuous improvement of the SMS and QHSE manual
• Implementing, coordinating and supporting the execution of the QHSE policies
• Preparing and conducting internal ISM audits, including managing the reports and follow up the corrective action process
• Teh registration and management of QHSE relevant data and files
• Executing resolutions of the management rregarding formulated QHSE aims and objectives
• Instructing new personnel regarding the procedures and content of the SMS and QHSE manual
• Maintaining contacts with QHSE related authorities (PSC and flag state) and official bodies, like class society
• Preparing reports and statistics for management regarding QHSE (reporting and occurred events)
• Motivating and stimulating QHSE awareness within the company
• Sharing feedback as result of the management SMS and QHSE manual review
• Maintaining contacts with Charterer regarding QHSE related topics and processes
• Responsible for the reviewing of navigational practices and procedures
• Participating in client driven (project) meetings
• Supporting vessel crew during external audits and inspections
• Monitoring, implementing and sharing developments in rules and regulations to ensure that the company will comply with relevant QHSE requirements
• Participating in staff / office meeting(s)
• Any other required task in line with the position or part of organization

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To be familiar with legal,  maritime and industry rules and regulations regarding Safety, Health and Environment and advice about possible areas of improvement.
• Development ,maintenance, implementation and monitoring of the SMS and QHSE manual
• Carry out audits and monitor the progress of corrective action
• Responsible for QHSE training /familiarisation for (new) staff and crew
• Initiation, implementation and maintenance of QHSE documentation and procedures
• Maintaining contacts with clients, authorities and relevant QHSE organisations
• Pro-active monitoring of developments for continuous immprovement of QHSE awareness
• Inform and advice the management regarding health, safety,environmental and security related and relevant topics and developments
• Recording and managing QHSE reporting
• Initiatting and/or  being part of the safety and/or management meeting (s)
• Potential to be able to operate as DPA and/or CSO in the future
• General knowledge of company SMS and QHSE standards
• Possibly participating in any QHSE improving activity
• Respect, follow and adhere to company QHSE policies and -standards

YOUR PROFILE:

• Several years of experience with Maritime SMS and QHSE standards in general
• Knowledge of the IMO, ISM-code and QHSE standards
• Good interpersonal & influencing skills
• Fluency in reading, writing, understanding and speaking English working language
• Proficient in computer skills
• Good organizational skills
• Hands-on mentality
• Living in the Hague (or nearby)
