As a Container Logistics Operator, you will manage the complete container logistics process.

SThis Shipping company, one of the Netherlands’ largest and oldest shipping companies with 75 years of experience, specializes in transporting frozen and chilled cargo such as fish, meat, citrus fruits, avocados, and bananas. They operate a global fleet, with ship management based in Groningen and commercial operations in Breda. Their cargo is primarily transported in refrigerated containers, maintained at depots worldwide.

What you’ll do

• As a Container Logistics Operator, you will manage the complete container logistics process. Your key responsibilities include:
• Planning and coordinating the stowage of containers on our ships, ensuring maximum cargo intake, stability and safety compliance.
• Managing the flow of empty containers with minimal costs.
• Maintaining accurate container planning and logistics data in our software systems.
• Continuously improving processes to maximize efficiency and results.
• Supporting the Fleet Operations Manager with reporting and special projects.

What we’re looking for

• We are seeking a motivated, proactive, and analytical team player who is eager to make an impact. You ideally have

           a bachelor’s degree (HBO), preferably in Logistics or Maritime Studies.

• Experience in the maritime industry, logistics, or a similar role — or seafaring experience (deck).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with software tools, Excel, and Outlook.
• Sharp analytical, operational and commercial skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you know how to motivate and influence others.
• A hands-on, well organized and solution-oriented approach, with a drive to identify and solve core issues in the supply chain.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Residence near Breda and possession of an EU passport or Dutch work permit.
