QHSE Manager region Vlissingen

Our client has and will grow considerably via new buildings and acquisition with a variety of vessels. Therefor, we are looking for a QHSE Manager to strengthen their Headquarter in Vlissingen (NL) and provide his/her expertise to their current QHSE department.

Job description:

The QHSE Officer has the following responsibilities:

• Advise and assist the management with the establishment of a vision and management approach regarding QHSE, including set-up, development and maintenance of the management systems;
• Advise nd guide the different departments and vessels within the company regarding specific QHSE related questions;
• Advise and assist the commercial department regarding specific QHSE related questions in tenders and project requirements;
• Perform the investigations of serious incidents and accidents and supervise the incident/accident investigations of other cases;
• Advise on risk assessment and incident investigation techniques;​
• Assist the process owners, including establishment of all management system documents related to their processes;
• Perform regular compliance checks with respect to QHSE and applicable legislation. He/she can be assisted in this task by (local) specialists;​
• Perform internal audits and guide external audits and inspections of the management system; this will be done according risk-based approach;​
• Communication and training of employees and vessels regarding the management system;
• Ensure that lessons learned are included in the continuous improvement process;​
• Ensure that results from risk assessments are included in the continuous improvement process;
• In conjunction with relevant managers, identify QHSE training requirements.

Your Profile:

• Knowledge of international Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental related to the maritime and offshore industry
• Experience with development and maintenance of safety / management system(s)
• Preferably he or she is licensced internal auditor and DPA/CSO
• Willing to travel international and visit our home ports worldwide.
• Administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Skills in speaking and writing reports in the English language
